The first session of the Accessible Prophecy course takes place on Saturday 20 September running from 10am to 3pm at Church of the Ascension, 110 Calvert Road, Hull HU5 5DH. Refreshments and a sandwich lunch will be provided.

This is a thoughtful approach to the subject of prophecy which comes through listening to God, understanding what he is calling us to do and carefully discerning what we are hearing is right for our church.

The course will be delivered by Cath Livesey, who oversees prophetic ministry at St Thomas and whose book ‘Holy Disruption’ has been acclaimed by Bishop Eleanor and Alan Hirsch.

The training will cover key topics around:
  • Tuning in to the voice of God
  • Jesus’ model of prophetic ministry
  • Developing an authentic prophetic lifestyle
  • Prophetic gifts and ministry
  • Discerning God’s call on our lives
  • Healthy prophetic culture in the local church
  • The prophetic call to social justice

This is a comment from people who participated in the course at Bridlington:
‘I found the five-day teaching on Hearing from God so enlightening. Cath delivered the teaching in such a straightforward, easy to understand format. It was suitable for new and experienced Christians alike. In a nutshell, it was life changing! Cath Livesey is a wonderful teacher….clear, solid in scripture and passionate about the prophetic/hearing God.  I’ve learnt so much about Gods heart for me and grown in confidence about hearing God. It’s definitely changed and strengthened me.’
Thank you and look forward to welcoming people to the first session.
